Welcome to this planet, baby Val =)

Yesterday afternoon, I've received a sms from one of my close buddies cum sisters that she has gave birth to a baby ger.

The day before that, my buddy messaged me that her contractions was like from 20 mins to 15 mins. We thought that the baby girl is about to come out from her mummy's tummy on that day. But later, my buddy told me that the contractions has changed to 25 mins instead of 15 mins. I was still teasing her, maybe her gal wants to be the birthday gal on 5th Dec, therefore decided to stay in her womb for another day.

I was right!! Baby Val really choose to see this world on 5th Dec. Since we are so far away, what I hope to see now are the pictures of baby Val.. feeling excited.. =)

Dear baby Val,

I'm happy to receive the message from your mummy telling me of your arrival. Wishing you good health, beauty and intelligent.. and I hope to see you soon~..

Love,
Auntie Christine

My 'Chicken Pox' days

The first and probably the last time where most people got their 'Chicken Pox' (CP) was during their primary or secondary school days.. Some who are slightly not that lucky will have it during their tertiary days.. For people like me who prayed for CP arrival during school days didn't have the chance to take long medical leave (MC) which means no chance to skip classes..
=(

Just a week ago, something I did not expected has happened and that was the arrival of CP. I've not been feeling well since last Wednesday and went to see a doctor after work. The remark that the doctor gave was high fever, 38 deg C. Even though I've taken the medication, the fever continued to go up on the following day to 39.3 deg C. On the third day, I realised that there are pox all over my back and was confirmed that I'm having CP after seeing the doctor again.

Many events that was planned weeks ago for the coming 2 weeks have to be cancelled because of this CP. Other then not able to attend these events, I felt sad for the first few days because having CP was troublesome. Not only I am not able to eat lots of food such as chicken, seafood (although I don't take seafood most of the time), food that are black, example anything with black soy sauce and more... Other stuff that I'm not supposed to do during my CP days are, cannot bathe, cannot have 'cold wind' blowing at me, must wear long pants and shirts, and more..

The first 3 days was considered the most critical days as the virus are much 'powerful' and will spread to others. As my siblings do not have CP before, therefore I need to stay away from them. Hence, my younger brother has to sleep in the living room and my younger sister has to sleep in my parents' room. (Really felt sorry to them but I've no choice either.. haiz)

There are more red pox popping out during the first 4 days, especially on the body and face. Some pox choose to grow on the tongue, gums and throat which caused difficulties for me to eat and swallow. Many friends have told me that having CP will be itchy and I do agree with what they said. Not only that, I also felt tired and sleepy throughout that few days which I've been sleeping most of the time.

Today is the 8th day I'm having CP. Some pox are slowly drying up but the rest are still the same, no sign of drying up (dunno why they are so stubborn).. haiz.. Really hopes that I can recover soon so that I can start doing my X'mas shopping for presents..
