Macau Trip 25 - 29 May 2010 (Part 1)

It has been quite sometimes since I posted something on my blog. This time round, I would like to do some writing on my previous trip which I have travelled to Macau in May 2010.

The trip to Macau was more of a last minute decision and we didn't have much time to prepare. We flew off on the following day after we finished our exams.

Day 1 - 25 May 2010
Due to flight maintenance, our flight to Macau was delayed till late aftenoon. By the time we touched down at Macau airport, it's around 10pm. Hence, we arrived and checked in the bagpacker hostel at about 11.30pm.

Main gate at Welcome 51A
Even though there are lots of hotels in Macau, we have choose to stay in the bagpacker hotel, Welcome 51A. A friend has previously travelled and stayed in this bagpacker hostel recommended this place to us. The cost of accomodation in this hostel for 4 nights was about SGD$300, which is quite worthwhile for us to stay in.

The hostel was located somewhere middle of some shophouses near Senado Square. The owner of the hostel, Amy is very friendly and helpful. When we reached the hostel, she was there to open the gate for us. She has specially waited for us due to our flight delayed.

Amy has directed us to our room at level 3. The room was very big and spacious. There is a queen size bed and single bed in the room. Not only these, there are cupboards for us to hang our clothing and keep our stuffs, a writing table with desktop and wireless connection provided and a personal bathroom. Best of all, the room is air conditioned.

Finally after all the unpacking and washing up, it's time for us to rest for the following day.

Weird lady that I've encountered..

This is something that I would like to share to you guys.. a 'real' situation that I've encountered yesterday (2 Jul) morning.

I was late for work and was standing at the road side waiting for a cab. Across the road was a lady waiting for cab too. She looked impatient and kept looking at her watch. As there wasn't any available cab passing by, I've called for a cab and was waiting for the cab to arrive..

What amuse me at this moment was the lady opposite the road has crossed over the road and stopped about 5 metres infront of me. In my heart, I was thinking "what the hell are you tryig to do??". (I've taken some shots of the location where the lady was standing.. was quite pissed off at the moment.. oopps)

She kept trying to hail for a cab, not caring if the cabs were hired or not. Although at that time I'm waiting for my 'booked' cab to pick me up, I just felt so angry.. Supposed if I didn't book for a cab and was waiting for any available cab too, this means that she will stop the cab before me.. Wasn't that ridiculous?? Anyway....

The best thing was when my 'booked' cab was driving towards 'us', she wanted to stop that cab too. I believed the driver thought that this lady was the person who has made the booking so he slowed down the vehicle. Luckily I did see that car plate, and signalled the driver that I am the caller. Hence, the driver didn't stop his cab.

Just don't understand why she don't feel awkward when she walked and stood infront of any person who is waiting for a cab? So what if she is in a hurry, does this mean that other people are not in a hurry?
